ARSENAL CONFIRM HAVERTZ TO MISS REST OF SEASON
Kai Havertz has suffered a hamstring injury on Arsenal’s training camp trip to Dubai. He is set to miss the rest of the season, which leaves Arsenal without a recognised striker. Gabriel Jesus is out with a knee injury while Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are recovering from hamstring injuries.
A club statement confirmed the injury and added: "Subsequent assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that the injury will require surgery, which will take place in the coming days.“
Arsenal will now be left without a striker for the last 14 games of the season, as they try to catch Liverpool and they are still in the Champions League.
Arsenal also failed to sign a striker in the January transfer window as their bids for Ollie Watkins were declined by Aston Villa.

MO SALAH ON TRACK FOR PREMIER LEAGUE’S GREATEST INDIVIDUAL SEASON
It was the first time in his entire Premier League career that Salah has been limited to one touch inside the opposition box in a game in which he has completed 90 minutes. His total of two shots was his lowest since October. And yet he found a way.
Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk were able to score to cancel out Lucas Bergvall's strike from the first leg.
Liverpool will meet Newcastle at Wembley Stadium on March 16th for the chance to win an 11th League Cup trophy.
Tottenham was not even able to get a shot on target in 90 minutes at Anfield.

PREMIER LEAGUE’S PROFITABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY RULES TO STAY NEXT SEASON
Premier League clubs agreed on a meeting on Thursday to keep the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules for at least one more season.
They were set to be replaced by Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules in the summer.
PSR limits clubs to losses of £105m over three years, whereas SCR limits clubs to spending 85 per cent of their revenue on football costs.

Declan 2 years ago Havertz missing the rest of the season is bad for Arsenal, same with Martinez, the schedule is too much for the players and this has been disregarded constantly by UEFA and the F | |
Amaan 2 years ago I agree with you Deccy, it is not a surprise that players are getting injured for long periods, but it really needs to be sorted out.Declan 2 years ago Honestly, with city going out the Champions League, I'm thankful, if it means we can focus on an FA Cup campaign as opposed, its much less fixtures, even if there is less money in it for the club |
