Furhtermore, Belgium, Greece, and Serbia have all drawn to perform in the First Half of the Grand Final, and Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden have drawn second half. Croatia, Finland, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Moldova have all drawn "Producer's Choice", meaning that they can be placed in either half of the semi-final.

The opening act for the Semi-Final was Greek-Luxembourgish singer Vicky Leandros performing her 4th place song, "L'amour est bleu". Ms. Leandros has won the contest before, in 1972 with the song "Après toi". The two interval acts were incredibly creative as well, as there were two of them. The first one featured Austrian trapeze group Zurcaroh performing a live demonstration of their talents and abilities, and the second was much more Eurovision related. It featured the hosts Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski as well as the Milkshake Man himself Go-Jo performing a musical comedy skit about the differences between Austria and Australia. Said song, called "Opposites", was met with mixed reviews from the commentators, as the Swiss commentators said the performance was so poor that "five more countries are boycotting Eurovision"
