CONTENT MINIMUMS CHANGE!
We’ve reduced content's minimum to 1 article a week!
This is part of some wider changes happening right now, all aimed at improving the department and making things easier to get involved in. By lowering the minimum, we’re hoping to keep things consistent while also making it easier for new reporters to join and contribute. We’re also looking for content reporters, whether you’re brand new or have written before - no experience needed, we’ll help you get started and support you along the way! And if you want to write more than the minimum, go for it! Extra articles are always appreciated and rewarded If you (or anyone you know) might be interested, definitely reach out!

STAFF UPDATES
Here's what's changed in UpBeat's staff team in the past two weeks!
STATION
In station, we welcome ★ Tony, & ★ Benji to the team as Presenters. We also want to congratulate Tony on passing his trial!
Unfortunately we have also said bye to Kiwi, Super and Berker. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
CONTENT
Coming up next then, let’s have a little peak at our changes in the content department:
Content has welcomed a few new faces this week, such as, ★ Randomizer, ★ FMG, and ★ Benji into the team as a Content Reporters, and also a cheeky congratulations on ★ LeahJ, and ★ Junior passing their reporter trial.
We are however saying a sad goodbye to Shawn from our team this week, we wish him all the best.
COMMUNITY
This week we are unfortunately seeing no changes within the community department, but we are seeking new Moderators, so if you are interested, reach out to the department managers.
Assistive +
This week, we've welcomed ★ Callum to the Station Mentor team, and ★ Leah to the Content Mentor team. I'd also like to congratulate ★ Declan on passing his Content Mentor trial. We also would like to welcome ★ JackN to the mentor team, he has been here for a week already. Whilst we're here, there are some passers within the Station Mentor team this time around, last week saw ★ Asher pass her trial and this week will see ★ Tay pass their trial!
We wish them the best of luck in their new roles and look forward to seeing what they accomplish, and those who have passed, once again, congratulations. It has been great working with you guys recently.
STAFF HIGHLIGHTS
Each week, our Management team discuss who should feature as our Staff of the Week. It can be for many reasons like going above and beyond, extra motivation and so on, but they have stood out amongst the entire team, so we want to give them the recognition they deserve. Our previous Staff of the Week was Bailey!
Without further ado, this week's Staff Member of the week is...
★ Asher
Congrats to Asher for achieving SOTW!
★ Owen had the following to say about ★ Asher:
"Asher has always been that type of person you can count on within the station department. They are there for the presenters whenever help is needed, a slot needs covering or just a simple talk within chats or VC. Asher always works to a 110% rate, blasting through their tasks and even overachieving some. They've been a huge help towards the station department and mentor team and we cannot thank them enough. Well done, Asher! Well deserved!!"
★ Joshua had the following to say about ★ Asher:
"Asher has been a huge part of the station and fully deserves this Staff of the Week recognition. They bring so much every single week with their dedication, positivity and great attitude. As a valued mentor and former Station Manager, they always lead by example and are someone people can look up to. Their shows like Global Hits and Country Classics are always a great listen, and away from the microphone they are a brilliant teammate and a genuine friend. We’re very lucky to have them as part of the team."

STATION HIGHLIGHT
We've had another great couple of weeks in radio! Our presenters have been hard at work keeping the banging tunes!
We asked Station Management about the week, and here's what ★ Joshua had to say:
"This week has been a really positive one for the station. I have been leading solo for most of the week, with Owen returning mid-week. It has been great to see the team continue progressing. We have improved booking across the international hours, filled 74 slots overall, and had 25 presenters on air throughout the week. We have also continued strengthening the mentor team, welcoming new additions in recent weeks, with Callum our latest recruit tonight, Tay passing their trial today, and JackN continuing his. It has been a strong and successful week, and I want to thank every presenter and mentor for the effort they give to the station each week.
My Top Pick this week is Leah. They have been outstanding, completing 14 slots across the week, which is an incredible contribution. That level of commitment is hugely appreciated and helps keep the station thriving. Thank you for all your hard work, and a reminder to everyone, including Leah, to make sure you look after yourselves and avoid burnout."

In second place, we have a new face to the top songs, but definitely an oldie, Prince - Raspberry Beret! Finally in third, We have something other than Alex Warren's Fever Dream, it is Julia Cole - Day Late & A Buck Short!

The content department has gone through a fair few changes this week, including the reduction of articles required now set to 1 a week (down from 2)! So if you or your friend wants to join content then now is the best time, especially as we are looking for lots of new faces and ideas for the department!
We've also had a great week with higher quality articles, and new members joining the team!

We asked Community Management about the week, and here's what ★ Ollie had to say:
"This week the community moderators have been completing their usual tasks, as well as help to vote for the UpBeat birthday awards. They are very excited to see who will win each award! Behind the scenes, the community managers have been helping out the moderators, making sure that they all know what they need to do, and making sure they are happy. We've also been discussing some changes to the moderators minimums, attempting to make them more event-based!!"

Content Reporter A Content Reporter is responsible for actively posting articles to the UpBeat site. Articles are to contain a variety of topics such as UpBeat news, affiliate news, music related gossip etc. You are to keep the community and visitors of the site updated with the latest news. Developer At UpBeat, a Developer is someone who helps create and expand UpBeat into a greater picture than it already is by implementing features that increase the use of UpBeat and its audience. The responsibilities of this position will also involve satisfying and understanding the demands of UpBeat's audience, expanding existing features and creating new features. |
Creative Designer At UpBeat, Creative Designers are critical role of staff who are expected to help grow, promote, and evolve UpBeat. Individuals in this position must be extremely trustworthy and have extensive prior experience. |

WELLNESS AT UPBEAT
At UpBeat, we have a heavy focus on our community's wellbeing, both with the public and our very own staff team. This is all powered by our skilled Human Resources team, led by the lovely Ari. We have a dedicated #well-being channel specifically for this, and every week, a new activity takes place in the server designed to help people navigate their mental health and wellbeing and perhaps help them to understand what is going on and how or where to get some help, as well as providing some fun and uplifting activities to enjoy!
