The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 is now over, with Naré taking the crown in Ta'Qali, Malta, to give Armenia their third victory in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, alongside victories in 2010 and 2021. Spain's Lucas Paulano came in second with the song "Cuore bello (te quiero, te quiero)", and France's Alec rounded up the top 3 with his song "Comment tu vas ?", which was the song that actually won the first half of the vote, being the juries.

Outside the top three, some of the best highlights included an interval act titled "We're Obsessed With (Junior) Eurovision" which felt like a theme song for many people who throw themselves into the contest every year. Additionally, San Marino came 4th, which is their best result in either the adult or junior contest ever. Violamarie sang her song "Ruota Panoramica" and came 2nd in the televote, only behind Armenia, which was genuinely a pleasant surprise to everybody, as San Marino usually struggles to leave the bottom of the scoreboard. Furthermore, Cyprus's Harry Gregoriou and his song "Who I Can Be" contained a whistle note, which many people assumed wasn't going to be performed live, which was not the case, as Harry brought down the house with his amazing whistle note.
Something that cannot be understated was the amazing stagings that every country brought, from North Macedonia's incredible drummers beating along during the dance break in their song "Idnata Jas", to the Maltese representative Beppe Caruana bringing a prop plane onto the stage while singing his song "Blue Bird". But nothing could beat the eventual winner, Naré, and her giant hobbyhorse unicorn that shoots out pyrotechnics.

Overall, this edition of the Junior Eurovison Song Contest was really strong, and any number of artists could have been the one to hold the trophy, so a massive congratulations to every single one of them is more than deserved, as they all threw their heart and soul into the performance. Congratulations Armenia, and see you next year!
