The incident reportedly started around 5AM when a gunman opened fire, shooting 10 people. He then fled the scene in a car believed to be stolen. Police then pursued and caught the suspect, shooting him dead. The local mayor, Tom Arceneaux, said the crime has “deeply affected” the entire community. He added that families and local authorities are all trying to process what has happened, continuing on to say the community is mourning. Finishing by asking that people keep the families and the city in their thoughts.
Authorities are yet to release the names of the victims or the suspect gunman involved, but confirmed that some of the children killed were somewhat related to him. The incident is being described as one of the worst tragedies the city has ever faced.
Investigators have released information that there were multiple crime scenes, including two homes not too far from each other. Officers arrived at one of the homes shortly before 6AM, discovering all the victims and confirming that all those deceased were children. One of the victims managed to escape to a nearby house. Police believe the situation is “domestic-related”.

When will America finally realise enough is enough and tighten its gun laws? How many more innocent lives will be taken? I’d love to hear your opinion on America's gun laws. Let me know in the comments.
Dresten 2 days ago Background checks in America need to be stricter, Mental Health needs to be taken into consideration for all gun owners. As gun ownership is a given right in the constitution, they can't just outright ban guns because they give the citizens a way to "protect themselves from a tyrannical government" | |
