HARRY MAGUIRE SUSPENDED FOR CHELSEA GAME AS ADDITIONAL ONE GAME BAN GIVEN

Harry Maguire will miss Manchester United's trip to Chelsea on April 18 as he has been handed an extra match ban for improper conduct.

Maguire swore at the fourth official after his red card against Bournemouth on March 20.

Maguire pushed Bournemouth striker Evanilson, which led to the denial of a goal scoring opportunity, and was therefore sent off. Eli Junior Kroupi scored from the penalty spot to equalise in added time.

He missed the 2-1 defeat to Leeds on Monday, and will now be forced to miss the game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The 33-year-old admitted to the offence and was also handed a £30,000 fine.

Matt Donohue, who was the fourth official that Maguire swore at, claims he said "You're a joke, you're all a f****** joke."

A statement from the FA on April 1 read: "It is alleged that the defender acted in an improper manner and/or abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the fourth official following his dismissal."

BAYERN MUNICH 4 - 3 REAL MADRID (AGG: 6-4)

Bayern Munich beat Real Madrid in the tie of the Champions League quarter-final second legs. Harry Kane scored his 50th goal of the season, and now Bayern will meet PSG in the Semi Finals.

Madrid scored three times to lead the tie on the night but Bayern managed to respond to each setback. Eduardo Camavinga was sent off, with Luiz Diaz scoring immediately after to see off Real Madrid, with Olise adding an extra goal just to be sure.

There were five goals in the first half, which made it really entertaining and thrilling. Manuel Neuer had a man of the match performance in Madrid, but his error allowed Arda Guler to get Madrid back in the tie after just 35 seconds.

Andriy Lunin conceded a goal from a corner which was a shocking piece of goalkeeping, before Neuer conceded a beautiful free kick from Arda Guler once again.

Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa speaking to TNT Sports: "It is really unbelievable that you send off a player for this action. I cannot believe it. It is not possible in a match like this that you are sent off for this."

HUGO EKITIKE TO MISS REST OF SEASON AND WORLD CUP AFTER ACHILLES INJURY

Liverpool have confirmed that striker Hugo Ekitike will miss the rest of the season and the World Cup with France.

He was forced off in the first half of Tuesday's game against PSG after a slip on the turf. Scans have confirmed a rupture of the Achilles tendon.

He could be out for at least six months and the worst-case scenario is as long as nine months. Liverpool confirmed on Thursday: "Ekitike will therefore be sidelined for the remaining weeks of the club season and unable to participate at this summer's World Cup with France."

Ekitike picked up the injury just as Alexander Isak returned from his serious leg injury. Ekitike has scored 19 goals for Liverpool and France this season after signing from Eintracht Frankfurt for £79m last summer.

Alexander Isak was supposed to be the next goalscoring machine for Liverpool, costing them £125m. However, he has had injury problems. Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike were also meant to combine with Isak.
