Mr. Beast is being sued by one of his former employees over claims of sexual harassment and gender bias in the workplace.

Jimmy Donaldson, his real name, has over 480 Million subscribers on YouTube, making him the most followed on the platform. However, this doesn't mean it has been smooth sailing for him. Harassment has been said to be allowed, and complaints of harassment in the workplace were not taken seriously by Beast Industries, his company where over 500 people are employed.

A representative for the company has said in a response to BBC Newsbeat that the accusations made against the 22 year old are "categorically false".

Lorrayne Mavromatis, the individual who is actually suing Beast Industries, claims in the court documents that she was relieved of her duties after "complaining about a workplace that suffered from a lack of basic employment protections". Mavromatis also alleges sexual harassment against other female workers was "both condoned and/or perpetuated by their supervisors", including that the females in the business were "treated differently that their male counterpart".

James Warren, former CEO of Beast Industries, was asked why Donaldson was unwilling to work with Mavromantis, he said that "her appearance had a sexual effect on Jimmy". Also alleging that her role was demoted to a lesser known role in the business where "careers go to die". This became true as Mavromatis was fired from her role just 3 weeks after returning from maternity leave as she was "too high-calibre" for the role.

For a person that is well known for his videos on YouTube, this is a very unfortunate blow for his company. Hope the issue is sorted and Beast Industries does better in the future.
