Manchester TAKEs TO ORBIT WITH NEW branding by "go-ahead"
Go North-West has relaunches routes 52 and 53 in Manchester with a bright orange "Orbits" brand.
The newer buses, made in 2016 in Scotland, feature a blue and orange livery. They have already entered service on the 52, with buses for The Orbital 53 arriving in February.

The investment in newer buses is a significant upgrade for two important bus routes that connect many of Manchester’s suburbs. The 52 runs from Failsworth to Salford Shopping City and the Trafford Centre, whilst the 53, (which is Manchester’s oldest unchanged bus route) orbits the city, connecting Cheetham Hill with the NMG Hospital, Blackley, Gorton, Belle Vue, Longsight, Rusholme, Salford and Pendleton.
The Operations Manager at Go North West commented: “Our investment in a revitalised fleet of buses for Manchester’s Orbits marks a real step up in quality for customers on the 52 and 53. When we took the reins from First Bus back in June 2019, we promised significant investment in our fleet, and I’m really delighted that we’re now able to deliver on those promises.”
