DUA LIPA CALLS ON FANBASE TO vote LABOUR
With the UK set to go to the election polls in less than two weeks, it seems like Labour has celebrity backing from singer Dua Lipa.
The singer took to Instagram on December 2nd to upload a policy breakdown designed by fashion and art outlet The Basement.
In the post, Labour's stance on tackling important issues such as mental health, equality, LGBT+ and climate change is compared to the Conservatives.
Dua Lipa has 36.7 million Instagram followers most of which are young fans and is the perfect platform. In the caption she said this "Our democracy is strongest when everyone's voice is heard. This is the most important election in a generation and YOUR vote counts. Your MP works for you so make sure you have your say about who deserves to represent you. See you at the ballot box 12th of December!"
The star concluded the post with #VoteLabour followed by the love heart emoji. The post has 212,818 likes so far at the time of writing with many applauding her.
Dua has also announced her "Future Nostalgia" 2020 arena tour of UK and Ireland, which takes name from her forthcoming second album. The arena tour starts in May 2020. Tickets will go on sale from Friday 6th December at 9am.
