The UK has been confirmed as participants for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020
The Eurovision Song Contest in 2020 will be between the 12th and 16th of May in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The United Kingdom will be joined by 33 countries such as Denmark, Greece, Belgium, Sweden, Cyprus, Norway and Germany who have confirmed their participation.
The BBC will be producing the coverage for this event, they are joining up with BMG music company as a new partnership, the commissioner for the BBC has said ‘Our commitment to finding the right song has never been higher and this collaboration with BMG, who have access to world-class songwriters is a genuinely exciting prospect and I am certain that together we can find the best song and artist possible for 2020.’
The singer who will be chosen will be in good hands as BMG music has many singers in a string of contacts who have had recent hits such as I’ll Be There by Jess Glynne, Shotgun by George Ezra, Golden the Album by Kylie Minogue and the new hit song Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi.
BMG has said that the Eurovision Song Contest is one of the biggest shows worldwide for music and they would be honored to be choosing the singer to perform in Rotterdam in 2020, BMG can’t wait to get started with the BBC and believe that Eurovision will play to our strength as the only fully-integrated publishing company and record label.
A lot of people hope the UK will be better in 2020 than this year who was by Michael Rice with his song, Bigger Than Us, he finished last in 26th place after earning only 11 points.
