Leonardo dicaprio donates $5m to help with the amazon rainforest fires.
As we all know the Amazon Rainforest has been on fire since the summer and hardly anyone is mentioning it. The fire hasn't fully gone out yet is because Brazil is a low-income country (LIC). This means that they are trying to raise money to help put out the fire.
Then suddenly a man most of us know and love from playing Jack in "Titanic". Leonardo Dicaprio.
On 26th August 2019, Leo donated 5 million dollars to help with all the wildfires to help with "the lungs of the planet"
But as the wildfire has been going on for a while this means that loads of trees will already be burnt and this leads to a dangerous amount of carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere. The fire of The Amazon Rainforest was around 2.1 million square miles!
When the fire does suddenly burn down we will have a loss of trees, change of climate change and the increased greenhouse gases in our atmosphere!
