NEW TRAINS BETWEEN LONDON EUSTON & WATFORD JUNCTION
London Overground confirmed this morning that it's new Class 710 trains have begun service between London Euston and Watford Junction.
The Class 710 is a brand new electric unit that was built by Bombardier Transportation, however, these trains were delayed by a full year before entering service originally on the Gospel Oak - Barking route. These trains are equipped with air-conditioning systems and passenger information screens, helping those with visual impairments to understand their surroundings with ease.
The trains will be running every 15 minutes within peak times, which will soon be extended to every 15 minutes all day, which is an improvement to the current timetable where there's usually a train every 30 minutes, give or take.
A total of 54 units are to be built by Bombardier Transportation, consisting of 222 carriages in total with a top speed of 75mph. The trains are also due to begin service on the West Anglian routes shortly, comprising of the lines between London Liverpool Street, Cheshunt, Chingford and Enfield Town.
