John Barrowman confirmed as new Dancing On Ice judge after Jason Gardiner QUITS
John Barrowman is an 'I'm a Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here!' & 'Torchwood' star.
It has been announced that John Barrowman will be replacing Jason Gardiner as the Judge for Dancing on Ice.
It is said that he will now be joining the line-up alongside head judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and the dance choreographer Ashley Banjo for the 2020 series of Dancing on Ice.
Here's what John Barrowman had to say about his appointment as a Judge for Dancing on Ice.
"I am so excited to be returning to the Dancing on Ice family, unlike most I have been through the rigorous task of skating live as a contestant in the first series.
This is a thrilling adventure for me and I hope to bring a fresh, fun and fab-u-lous angle to the judging panel."
In August, Jason Gardiner confirmed he was quitting Dancing on Ice because he felt it was time for him to pursue other projects.
He told his fans this, "After all these years, I feel it's time for me to say goodbye to my judging role and return to things I have been putting on hold and have been on the back burner for a while."
He directs his message to his Dancing on Ice fans, "To all of my DOI fans, I really thank you for your support and encouragement over the years.
I know we've gone through some controversies and I'm glad you got my unique judging style and honestly, it is because of the fans that I never cowered or shied away from serving up the truth."
ITV's Head of Entertainment Commissioning is looking forward to seeing John Barrowman bring his own brand of sparkle to the show (Dancing on Ice).
