trump is under attack after tweeting racist attacks at Democratic Congresswoman
Nowadays, it seems Trump is in the news a lot, from a seemingly imminent, nuclear war, to his visit to the UK.
Today though, he is being attacked by his racially charged tweets against a Democratic Congresswoman.
He said the woman "Originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe." and then suggested they "go back."
BUT WHAT DID THE PRESIDENT ACTUALLY SAY?
He wrote across three tweets: "So interesting to see 'progressive' Democrat congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful nation on earth, how our government is to be run.
Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came from.
Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can't leave fast enough. I'm sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements."
Despite all this, he didn't say the name of the congresswoman he was talking about.
Although from what he said, it is assumed he is referring to Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, Ms. Tlaib, Ms. Pressley and Ms. Omar.
Ms. Pelosi who is the Speaker of the House described Trump's tweets as "xenophobic."
Trump has not responded to all of this criticism, however, he has tweeted saying: "Sorry, can't let them into our country."
