BRAND NEW NINTENDO SWITCH COMING IN SEPTEMBER 2019
You are not mistaken Nintendo has dropped an unexpected announcement that we are having a brand new Nintendo Switch joining the family and this one is focused on handheld rather than on the hybrid model the original switch is using.
INTRODUCING THE NINTENDO SWITCH LITE EDITION
WHAT'S DIFFERENT WITH THE NINTENDO SWITCH LITE?
The Nintendo Switch Lite is focused purely on portability.
There are a few features removed from the original Switch which are:
- TV connectivity.
The switch won't be able to connect to the TV using the existing switch dock.
This is because of the smaller size.
- HD rumble has been removed.
This was because the price is lower which means you won't get the effect from games like Rocket League, The Elder Scrolls 5, Skyrim, Pokemon Let's Go (Eevee + Pikachu), 1 2 Switch and more.
If you wish to use HD rumble you will have to purchase separate Joycons.
- The Joycons has lost their detachability which means you can't give someone else a Joycon for multiplayer games.
- IR Scanner has been removed.
This was a common issue with the current switch console.
With that lots of features were removed but what has been added?
There's a D-Pad now instead of a directional button.
Increased battery life.
Smaller 5.5inch screen with a 720p display underneath that is brighter in outdoor settings.
Comes in 3 colours: Grey, Turquoise & Yellow.
But however, with Pokemon Shield and Sword coming out, Nintendo added a 4th is a special edition which is seen below:
The price for the switch is $199 or £279.99 in the UK and will be coming on the 20th September 2019.
