Woman wakes up on parked aircraft
A woman has said she woke up on a parked Air Canada aircraft at night all alone, after reportedly falling asleep during the flight.
Tiffani Adams says she fell asleep on a flight from Quebec to Toronto on the 9th of June 2019.
When she woke up she claimed to be 'freezing' and still 'buckled into her seat', but the aircraft was parked.
She said she had experienced 'recurring nightmares' after the incident.
Air Canada is set to be investigating the incident.
Ms. Adams stated on Facebook, "I woke up around midnight, freezing cold and trapped in darkness."
She managed to call a friend, but her phone died less than a minute into the call and she couldn't charge it due to the plane APU being switched off.
Her friend called the airport to tell them the location of Ms. Adams, and while she was on board, she managed to locate a flashlight in the cockpit and got a baggage handlers attention.
The baggage handler went on to say he found her in 'shock.'
Air Canada offered her a limo and a hotel, but she declined as she wanted to get home as soon as possible.
