LOVE ISLAND FANS HAVE COMPARED THIS YEAR'S LINEUP TO POUNDLAND
With the new season of Love Island due to start in a matter of weeks, the show's producers have unveiled the lineup of contestants that will be heading to the villa this year.
However, the lineup has not impressed fans, who have called it 'a Poundland version' of last year's.
The revealed contestants are:
Yewande Biala, a 23-year-old Irish scientist
Lucie Donlan, a 21-year-old surfer
Amber Gill, a 21-year-old beauty therapist
Amy Hart, a 26-year-old flight attendant
Anna Vakili, a 28-year-old pharmacist
Anton Danyluk, a 24-year-old gym owner
Tommy Fury, a 20-year-old boxer
Joe Garratt, a 22-year-old caterer
Michael Griffiths, a 27-year-old firefighter (with some pretty terrible tattoos if you ask me)
Sherif Lanre, a 20-year-old chef
Callum Macleod, a 28-year-old aircraft engineer
Curtis Pritchard, a 23-year old dancer and the brother of Strictly star AJ Pritchard
Many of the contestants have been compared visually to contestants from last year.
Amy Hart looks extremely similar to Laura Anderson, who became a fan favourite last year.
The show has also come under fire in recent weeks after another ITV show was scrapped due to the death of a guest.
The Jeremy Kyle Show was taken off the air by ITV after Steven Dymond, who was a guest on the show, died a few weeks later.
Fans were outraged that Jeremy Kyle had seen his career scrapped due to an unlinked death when Love Island has seen two contestant suicides in one season.
Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon both tragically ended their own lives after being overwhelmed with the attention from the show.
This along with numerous complaints from previous contestants has caused the show's producers to provide an 'aftercare package'.
This package lasts for 14 months and provides counseling and support to former contestants.
