Shamima Begum: IS Bride would face death penalty in Bangladesh
Shamima Begum is a British-born woman who left London, UK, on February 2015 to join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in Syria.
Shamima was only a 15-year-old when she left the UK.
Bangladesh foreign minister has said that if Shamima steps foot into Bangladesh she could get a death penalty for terrorism.
Abdul Momen has mentioned that Shamima has got nothing to do with Bangladesh.
Shamima was stripped of her British citizenship in February this year.
Bangladesh's Home Office decision is final.
Under the law, it is illegal to deprive a person of citizenship.
Shamima is currently appealing against the Home Office decision.
Mr. Momen is currently mentioned there is no question of allowing her into the country or giving Shamima her Bangladeshi citizenship.
Abdul has also mentioned that Shamima and her parents have never sought Bangladeshi citizenship.
Shamima's parents are British citizens.
It is known that the British government is responsible for Shamima and her parents.
The British government will have to deal with the consequences.
