Stormzy's Vossi Bop has beaten Taylor Swift's Me! to UK number 1

Stormzy's new song, Vossy Bop, has beaten Taylor Swift's song Me! to the UK Number 1.

Stormzy's 'comeback' song has amassed 94,500 sales this week, to win victory over Swift's Me!

Swift's song came in third, just behind Lil Nas X's Old Town Road.

Stormzy also broke records for the UK's weekly streaming record for a rap song, with 12.7 million streams.

Stormzy said he was "speechless" at the results.

The song is currently the second most sold song of the year, currently behind Ariana Grande's 7 rings, which amassed more than 126,000 sales.

The song was just 530 sales ahead of Swift's Me! song, but managed to stay ahead, whilst Me! slipped back to number 3 in the charts.

Earlier this week, the music video broke YouTube view records for the most views within 24 hours of release.

Elsewhere in the charts, a new entry called: Let Nature Sing by the RSPB is a new entry at number 18.

The RSPB is a British animal rescue center, like the RSPCA, who have followed Lil Dicky and released another nature-related song.

David Attenborough recently released a BBC documentary called Climate Change - The Facts where he said we have 12 years to stop, otherwise, there was no turning back.
