HQ host 'Scott Rogowsky' leaves the company
Iconic HQ host Scott Rogowsky has reportedly left HQ and is pursuing a career as the host of streaming service DAZN's baseball show ChangeUp. TMZ originally reported Scott's departure, adding the reason as a disagreement between HQ and Scott over his want to host both shows. He wanted to host HQ on the weekends only, while HQ wanted him full time. HQ CEO Rus Yusupov confirmed that Rogowsky is leaving the show. He also added that according to the players, their favorite host was guest host Matt Richards. Yusupov also said the show plans to bring in more celebrity hosts in the future.
Scott tweeted on Twitter, saying the following: "A MESSAGE TO MY HQTIES - About three weeks ago, I announced that I had taken a new job hosting a new, live “whip-around” baseball show called ChangeUp on @DAZN_USA. As a lifelong baseball fan, it was a dream opportunity that I simply couldn’t pass up. Sadly, it won’t be possible for me to continue hosting HQ concurrently as I had hoped, and because I wasn’t given the courtesy of a farewell show, please allow me to use this thread to say all the things I would have said on my final broadcast."
He continues on to thank the talented writers and staff at HQ, and thanks to the viewers for sticking with him.
Viewers responded to the Tweets positively, asking @hq why they would not give him a farewell show.
