Chelsea tops Fulham, still in 6th place
Kepa shines in a thrilling first-half

Chelsea beats fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage

In a game that had action right up until the end, Chelsea topped Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage, Fulham's home stadium. Chelsea earned 3 points in the match that keeps them in 6th place and 1 point behind Arsenal in 5th place. Fulham, on the other hand, took 0 points away this weekend and is still in 19th place with 17 points, 10 points behind Southampton who is just above the relegation table at 17th place.

The game started off quickly with a goal coming in the 21st minute for Chelsea. Willian dribbled down the sideline before passing it to an upcoming Azpilicueta, who passed it perfectly to Higuain, and he slotted past the Fulham keeper to make it 1-0. In the 26th minute, Mitrovic had a great header on goal that was just barely tipped over by Kepa, but then in the next minute, Babel crosses the ball off a corner to an unmarked Chambers who passed it into the goal in the 27th minute to set the game level at 1-1. The final goal of the half and of the game came from a pass from Hazard to Jorginho. Hazard beats his defender and lays it off to Jorginho, who places it perfectly in the top corner to take the lead 2-1 in the 32nd minute.

The second half had a lot of possession until the 88th minute where Ayite just manages to chip the ball to Mitrovic who has yet another header right in front of goal before Kepa makes a spectacular save to keep the lead for Chelsea. One final chance saw Sessegnon put the ball in the back of the net in the 94th minute, however, the goal was later ruled off-sides and was rightly called so after further review from analysts after the game.

Chelsea plays their next fixture in the Europa League on Thursday in the Round of 16 @ Dynamo Kyiv, where they hope to get a good start to this 2 legged series away. Fulham plays their next match in the Premier League next Saturday on the 9th versus Leicester City at 10 AM, and hope to grab 3, or at least 1, point(s) to climb the table and get out of the relegation zone.

Will chelsea finish in the top 4 of the table this year?
