DISCORD HAS ASSISTED THE FBI IN LOCATING SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUALS
After receiving hundreds upon hundred statements regarding the chat application Discord, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been investigating certain groups that use the application.
The reports contained claims of username and password distribution, cybercriminal services and even the selling of personal information, which sometimes affect Discord's youth audience.
A spokesperson for Discord told Forbes
"Though we do not read people's private messages, we do investigate and take immediate action against any reported violation by a server or user. [This] can include shutting down offending servers and banning users."
Although the application has been used for malicious activity, It's also been used for good and has helped over two million people connect worldwide and raised hundreds of thousands to donate to charities. Remember, Discord employees never ask for your password and you shouldn't share your password with anyone unless it's your parent or guardian.
